Marc Goldfinger, Axalta Global Technology Manager, provided insights into Axalta’s sustainable products and initiatives during Stroud Water Research Center’s Science Seminar Series event at the Union League of Philadelphia. Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, is a proud supporter of Stroud Water Research Center and its award-winning environmental education programs. “I was honored to kickoff the Stroud Water Research Center Science Seminar lecture,” said Goldfinger. “Axalta and Stroud have a great partnership and a similar belief in the power of sustainable initiatives, products and programs. Stroud’s tireless research on freshwater systems; and Axalta’s low VOC and waterborne products and customer sustainability awards program are examples of both organizations’ commitments to help preserve the environment.” Goldfinger’s speech was followed by a welcome and overview of Stroud’s research from Dr. Bern Sweeney, Stroud Water Research Center Director. The program proceeded with a lecture by John Jackson, Ph.D., Stroud Senior Scientist of Entomology and Matt Ehrhart, Stroud Director of Watershed Restoration. The pair discussed the Stroud Center’s important work in the Delaware River basin, a watershed that more than 15 million people rely on for drinking water and agricultural purposes. “This lecture was a great opportunity for the Stroud Water Research Center to share its decades-long science and discuss the health of the Delaware River from New York to Delaware,” said Dr. Sweeney. “We are grateful to our partners at Axalta for their support of our work and their own conservation efforts.”
